iKnitiative Patterns now available for Download!

You asked for it--in fact you clamored for it!--and now iKnitiative is offering it. When you shop at our online store, you now have the option of purchasing either a beautifully printed paper copy to be shipped to you or, if you prefer, a downloadable version that you print yourself.

When you click on the Online Store button and get into the store, you will see on the left hand column categories for either Printed Patterns -- Paper or Downloadable Patterns -- Electronic. Within those categories you can browse to your heart's content. Or, browse here at iKnitiative and then click on the Buy Printed or Buy Download buttons at each style to be taken to the store. Just like purchasing a paper pattern, purchasing a downloadable one is easy and secure.

We hope you like this new capability. As always, if you have any questions, send an email or call.

Have you seen the Spring 2007 issue of Interweave Knits? Have you turned to page 53? There you will find the new Lacy Star Shawl pattern featured! The Lacy Star Shawl is an easy project in lightweight yarn (think sport or DK).

New Patterns, Quick Knit Gifts, Sorting by Yarn Company, and Many Classes Scheduled

Lest you think I've been idle (never!), a lot is happening at iKnitiative.

Two new sock patterns are now shipping!

• A36 Narrow Arrow Socks
• A37 Toe Up Basic Magical Socks

BOTH of these patterns use the Magic Loop construction method (one long circular needle) and BOTH are worked from the toe up! The A36 Narrow Arrow socks feature an easy toe cup start, a flap heel, a gorgeous lace pattern on instep and leg, and a unique and pretty bobble-studded cuff with picot bind off. These might be the prettiest thing I've ever designed. The A37 Toe Up Basic Magical Socks are just what they sound like: Magic Loop socks worked from the toe up! They also feature the toe cup and flap heel, and use a nice very-stretchy bind off. There is now a Quick Knit Gifts section accessible both from the Home Page and from the main Patterns page. Here you can find my picks for the iKnitiative designs to knit up for those deserving folks on your gift list.

When you stop by the main Patterns page you will also notice that you can now search for patterns by the yarn company whose yarn is used in the model garment.

Also make sure to visit the Classes and Events page. I have a full suite of classes scheduled from now through March 2007. Most are local to the Detroit area but I will also be teaching in Manhattan, Kansas in September, Littleton, Massachusetts in October, and Virginia Beach, Virginia in March 2007. Fun, fun!
